So glad to have the Sew Along for this. It helped me have the confidence to tackle a "real" pattern pattern. Thanks, Anna!
And the finished result makes me so proud. It really is a garment. And I made it. Hard to believe!
Still need to insert the hook and eye closure. Other than that, she's all done!
Next time.... I'll make a smaller size. According to the package, I should have been a size 16. I made a size 14. In real life, I wear a 6 or 8. The skirt isn't falling off, but it isn't sitting as high as it should. Not as flattering as it could be. Next time, I'll try a 12.
That's it. Have a great weekend!

it looks really good Krista! I love the purple. Where did you get those kick-ass boots?
ReplyDeleteSweet! I love the skirt and fabric you used!
ReplyDeleteLooking good! I have a skirt I made a wee while ago that's suffering from similar 'far too big despite making the size I should be' issues, and I even made a muslin which seemed fine, oh well, live and learn!
ReplyDeleteso cute i love the pockets!

SUPER CUTE! I guess I'd be a 20 by that sizing chart. :/
ReplyDeleteWOW! This looks wonderful--amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteI had the same results that you but I like your skirt more than mine. I am going to take a bit more, about 1.5cm on each side because I think I am going to get a lot of use out of this skirt. I just hope with practice I get better and getting the right size!
ReplyDeleteWoW!!!!! You look really cool! GREAT JOB!
