Wrap-It-Up Bag!

I am going to make about one thousand more of these. Love it! I finished my Wrap-It-Up Bag last week and gifted it to my friend Kim. She says she loves it! It was simple to make and so cute!

Started this bag a while back and just added the strap and snap last week. I purchased the pattern from SewTakeaHike and it arrived quickly and was simple to download. The step-by-step instructions were very clear. I can see a lot of ways you could embellish the bag, too, by adding pockets or making the straps longer.

The hardest part for me was making the top stitching look neat and evenly spaced. But I just took it slow and it is... not bad! I love how it rolls up into a cute little ball. Perfect for Kim, who is possibly moving to China very soon. She can throw it into her carry-on or suitcase easily without adding bulk. Although if I know Kim, she probably will have an entire suitcase itself devoted to purses and bags. She kind of hearts them big time.

Finishing projects is not my forte, but it always feels good to get one off of the stack. Hope you love it, Kim!

Tomorrow, I'm going to have my very first tutorial! I really wasn't planning to doing many tutorials, but this one just happened. So come back tomorrow, won't you please?

  2. It was my first attempt at a bag... Very straightforward with no interfacing or zippers or pockets. Comes together in an hour or so!

    Thanks for visiting my blog!
